Hotel Review: Hotel Oslo – Coimbra

My stay in Coimbra would not have been as pleasant if I didn’t stay at Hotel Oslo.

As part of my month long Spain/Portugal trip, I have stayed in many hotels and flats as you can imagine. Hotel Oslo is definitely one of my favorites! I’m glad I found this hotel as I was planning my trip to Coimbra. As a solo female traveler, there are a lot of things to consider when looking for a place to stay.

Coimbra – A Train Station

Hotel Oslo is a five minute walk from Coimbra-A Train Station. This is particularly important for me because it eliminates the need for a taxi.  Most importantly, the hotel is located still within walking distance to all of Coimbra’s landmarks as well as cafes and restaurants.

Checking in was a breeze.  The staff was great and even helped me with my ‘walking tour’ around the city. I had stamped postcards to mail and they were kind enough to mail it for me. Even after I checked out, I was able to leave my luggage to do more exploring of Coimbra.

Most of the rooms come with amazing views of the city and I suggest booking a room with a view or a balcony. You won’t regret it. As for the entire room, it was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. I had to force myself to leave the room to explore the city and not stay in bed after a tiring travel day.

Rooftop Bar

If I didn’t say it enough, the views from the hotel are amazing. I specifically enjoyed the rooftop bar. I highly recommend this area.

Night time view from the roof top is also amazing!

Let us not forget the freebies of Hotel Oslo:

Free breakfast

Free parking

Free Wifi

As a travel blogger AND a solo female traveler, good wifi is a must. I’ve been to so many hotels around the world and I’ve had my fair share of bad connections. And let me tell you, that could pretty much ruin my stay. Good thing I didn’t have that problem at Hotel Oslo.

My time in Coimbra was unforgettable. I truly enjoyed this city! I would definitely come back and stay at Hotel Oslo again.
