Festivals: The Cherry Blossom Tradition

One of my favorite festivals is DC’s National Cherry Blossom Festival. I fell  DEEPLY in love with D.C. when I went to this particular festival for the first time. It was really the first time that I was able to wander the streets and take in the vibrant culture of the city. Yes, I admit it is one of my top five favorite US cities. And as a big fan of festivals, this one is definitely an annual tradition I would like to continue!

Not only is this home to cherry blossoms, but of course to America’s rich history.

World War II Memorial

Washington Monument

Thomas Jefferson Memorial

So I strongly encourage you to visit the nation’s capital! Walk around the basin and feel the calmness and peace the cherry blossoms give. I highly recommend it.
