Confessions: Why I need a vacation after a vacation

The past two months had been a blur. If you had been following my blog you would know I was in Europe for the month of October, came home to the US for a week then jetted off to Punta Cana. Now I’m back home and my carry-on still stands outside my bedroom waiting to be unpacked.

Let’s be honest, an action-packed vacation is as good as working. It leaves you tired, stressed and worn out. You’ve been dreading going back to work the moment you stepped on the plane ride home.

Although my Europe trip was not entirely a vacation, I was more than happy to enjoy an all-inclusive island resort in the Caribbean! I haven’t been in one for a long time.

Every time I feel like things are going crazy and I’m feeling jaded, the only cure is a beach vacation. Now that my thoughts are refreshed, I can unblock the distractions that have slacked my writing. I still have so many travel stories to tell and I have photos that can last me a lifetime.

So gracias, Dominican Republic for being my paradise play ground.
