Living life, one suitcase at a time. My name is Jen and welcome to JetsettingJen, a place of travel ideas and inspiration.

“Travel changes you. As you move through this life and this world you change things slightly, you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life – and travel – leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks – on your body or on your heart – are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt.”
― Anthony Bourdain

More about Jennifer Jane

I started this travel diary in 2011 as a way to document all my trips for my family and friends. Originally from Connecticut, I traded the east coast life for the metropolitan charms of Chicago. When I’m not traveling, I’m busy as a full-time fundraiser for the arts. Work-life balance is important to me and I have perfected the art of jet-setting on my free time and limited vacation days. I also love art, history,  and literature. I’m greedy for food and greedier for knowledge. I’m obsessed with coffee and will eat anything s’mores related. I grew up in a multi-cultural family and know five languages. I’m partial to Spanish sangria and will always pick Asian food as my favorite.  I read Hemingway and have a penchant for Baroque art. I’ve been told I’m unusual. But I say I’m just a Gemini.
